A man and a dog were found dead Saturday morning in a San Diego park, authorities said.
Authorities said they received a call about 10:30 a.m. that the bodies of the man and the dog were in a field in a private area of the Palomar Country Club.
They later found that the dogs had been killed and that a woman had been in the park, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
They said that the woman was in the vehicle with the dogs and had been unresponsive.
She was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s department said it has not identified the woman.
The man, whose name has not been released, had been drinking, and was not involved in the incident, the police said.
The dogs were owned by a woman who lived in the same park, the Sheriff’s Office said.
She had been reported missing in March.
The dogs were believed to be about 6 months old.
