Posted November 01, 2018 08:27:07 A woman who says her ex-partner was trying to murder her over her speech at a conference has spoken out for the first time about the allegations.
Ms Stacey Jackson said she met her ex in 2009 and they fell out but she still believes her ex’s claims of domestic violence against her.
“I think my ex would’ve killed me if I said anything, because he’s so controlling,” she said.
“He’s not like me.
I just don’t believe him.”
Ms Stacey said her ex, who is now married to another woman, was the first person to try to kill their relationship.
“If I said something to him about what happened, he would’ve just killed me,” she told the ABC.
I don’t want to see him around.” “
So, I just want my ex to go away.
I don’t want to see him around.”
Ms Jackson said her estranged husband was upset when he discovered she was speaking out.
“When he found out, he was just really hurt and upset,” she recalled.
“But I just said ‘Oh, well, it’s OK, I’ve got a good life’.” Ms Stacy said she has no plans to return to her former relationship.
Ms Jackson’s allegations are not the first of the abuse she suffered.
“My ex is not the only one to come forward with allegations,” she explained.
“It’s very hard for women in abusive relationships.
It’s so common.”
Ms Tristan said she had been forced to move out of her own home and has lost all her savings.
“The last thing that I want is for him to have my money, my house,” she added.
“That’s just not me.”
